Recompiling Jobs for All Projects

Post by sheltzer »

We are trying to implement a failover system that will need to recompile all jobs in all projects on the failover box in event of the master crashing. Is there a way to do this?

In the Manager, there is an option of Multiple Job Compile. It still requires some manual labour.
I believe there is also a routine out there that Compiles the jobs. I dont have it otherwise could have given it to you.

'dscc' from client end can be used for the automated purpose.
It would be enough to get the status of the jobs which are in 'running' state and recompile only those.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
