Hi

I know Datastage uses 32 bit drivers, but i need to confirm.

I need to find out which version of Datastage is certified for a Windows 64BIT environment(most probably Windows 2003) and what the implications on the client side would be if we do move to the 64bit version.

Thanks in advance

forgot to add this in my e=message

We are planning on moving our production environment to a separate server.

Hi,
Last time I checked there was a DS 64 bit for itanium processors on HP
Perhaps "Hawk" release at Q4 2005 will bring more platforms 64 bit available.
Best contact your product vendor / support provider.

... and, of course, there's a version for Tru64. But I don't believe there yet exists a version for any 64-bit Windows operating system.

As Roy suggests, get and official answer. Then please post it back here.

Thanks everyone ,this is the respond from Centerfild.
Hi Lindy

DataStage is a 32 bit operating system at the moment. However, there is a 64 bit version of DataStage but it is only certified to run under the HP Titanium chip set. All is not lost because 32 bit applications can run under 64 bit operating systems. So, the 32 bit DataStage versions 7.5x are certified to run under Windows 2003. Any DataStage client has to run on an Intel chip so it's all the Windows flavours (Win 2K, Win XP etc).

Hope this answers your question.

Best Regards
Mark

Ray,
The version for true 64 is in-fact a 32bit DS for alpha true 64 machines.
