Hello everyone, I have seen a lot of talk on this forum regarding the Datastage deadlock daemon and how it can clean up after defunct processes. How do I use this and where can I find more info? Can I use it with PX jobs.
Thanks for your time!!
How do I set Datastage deadlock daemon for DS PX.

The kind of lock managed by the deadlock daemon are not set by parallel jobs. They are set by connected clients, server jobs and job sequences only.
To use, change the Start option in dsdlockd.config (in your DataStage Engine directory) to 1, and re-start DataStage.

No. The PX engine does not set the kind of lock managed by the DataStage deadlock daemon.
As far as a utility for cleaning up defunct PX processes is concerned I do not know, someone else will need to answer that. I am not aware of one.
