Use the Surrogate Key Generator stage available in version 7.0.1.

Hi vbeeram,
You can use the column generator stage to generate surrogate keys.
This has already been discussed before.
Pls search the datastage forum using "surrogate parallel" keywords. The results will give you an idea on what you should do.

The easy way is column generator stage only.

Hi
Since we use PX 6.0, we use transformer stage to create surrogate keys. Surrogate keys are nothing but unique number. SO it can be achieved using transformer stage.
