Netezza connector creating external tables

When we use the netezza connector stage to bring in data, it is creating external tables. Is there a way to not have it use external tables?

This is part of the Netezza technology. It creates and drops the external tables once complete.

I am told I cannot use external tables. Also, when the program aborts, I have many external tables sitting out there.

Anyway around this?
