Joining Multiple Teradata Database Using Datastage

Post by synsog »

Hi All,

can we join ( in a single query ) two tables each residing on separate Databases using Datastage Teradata stage.

Eg:
Table 1 resides on DB1
Table 2 resides on DB2

Can we join these two tables with a single Teradata stage ?

Regards,

No. Nothing in the stage allows you to do something you wouldn't otherwise be able to do in any other client tool. Now, if Teradata has something like a 'database link' that allows one database access to the other, then you could leverage that in a single stage / query.
