NLS Map Setting

Hi,

We are in development phase. When i had cross checked between Source and Target environment this some vary in NLS settings.

Source:OLTP Oracle : AMERICAS - UTF8
Target :DW Oracle : AMERICAS - AL32UTF8

Datastage NLS Setting: ISO-8859-1

Suppose if any multibyte characters come source whether this settings will support. Currently we don't have any multibyte characters.

I refered one post at dsxchange. Here Source is flat file and of type : WE8ISO8859P1. But for me it is database of type AMERICAS - UTF8

your inputs are welcome.

As long as the source and target mappings are known then using NLS DataStage will not be an issue and it will correctly perform mappings/conversions.
