TeraUtils:Fetch failed: Error Code = 227 [terautils.C:2863]

Post by bhaskarjha »

Hi All,
I am unable to read data from database using Teradata Enerprise stage the error which I am getting is

TeraUtils:Fetch failed: Error Code = 227 [terautils.C:2863]

DBCAREA msg_txt: MTDP: EM_CHARNAME(227): invalid character set name specified.
[terautils.C:2864]

<Stage Name>: APT_TeraUtils::connect: connect (simple) failed. server = "Server name", Default db = "", user = "User Name", password = "****" [terautils.C:377]
Cannot connect to database '' on server 'Server Name'. [terareadrep.C:104]
Cannot connect to database '' on server 'Server Name'. [terareadop.C:256]
.

These error I am getting only on my Datastage Production server. On QA server I am able to view the data using same job. Also in Production If I am using other stage like ODBC/Teradata API I am able to connect to the database. I need to load Japanes data in my database for which I need Teradata Enterprise stage only. Please help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks a lot.

What's different between production and QA environments? ("Nothing" is demonstrably not the correct answer.)

check that teradata utilities are install on your production server, becuase to access data through Enterprise stage you need to have TD utilities on your production mahine, for ODBC and API Datastage don't use Utility slots but for enterrpise and Multiload it do
