How to import DB2 metadata from different server in DS 8.5?

Hi All,
I want to import metadata from DB2 database which is located at another server and location. I've datastage 8.5 and it's on win 2000.
if I can import via ODBC is also fine.

Start by configuring connectivity to the remote instance using DB2 client software. Then establish a Data Connection object to record connection parameters you need for that. Use an associated Parameter Set if you like. Then, when using the Connector import wizard, specify that Data Connection. And, of course, if the remote database is managed by a different instance, you will need to mention that as well has having environment variables such as DB2INSTANCE or APT_DFLT_DBNAME correctly set.
