Installation of DataStage Server/Enterprise Edition

Post by Bryceson »

Folks,

We are moving to AIX and want to laverage DataStage EE(PX) architect on most of our new projects.

1. Do we need to install both DataStage Server and DataStage Enterprise Edition or Just DataStage Enterprise Edition??. Will server jobs continue to run under DS EE??.

2. What will need to change in this situation??

Thanks in advance for knowledge!

You will need to provide both server and PX server auth code while installaion, so that both will get installed.
And not clear about second point. Are you expecting the chages required form migrating from server to parallel?

The server jobs will stay the same or they might be changed as needed.

Thanks for your input.

If you are planning to renew the server licence code as well, the server job can reside happily with any change.

If licensed, server jobs will continue to run quite happily. You may need to consider the actual migration process, however. For example do any hashed files (or a directory for them) need to be created on the new machine?
