Datastage connectivity with SAP BW

Our requirement to extract data from SAP BW. To perform with that we are trying to establish connection with SAP BW.In the BW extract stage we are givibg the following details

Application Server
System id
Client No
User Id
Password
Language

While trying to connect it's not connecting stating the password is not correct, though with that password it's connecting from SAP front end.

Is there any special needs to be done while connecting SAP BW from datastage both in the SAP BW end and datastage end?

Information Server has a lot of restrictions on passwords, in that many special characters are not permitted. I am guessing your password contains such a character since it works outside of DataStage.

Please read through this and check. You may need to change your password.

Our password is like some text and then some numeric numbers.Can be assumed like the below format
abc678

Then I would suggest double checking the credentials and connection details, trying a different, simpler password temporarily, and if that still fails with the same password error, then contact Support.
