Just wanted to add that you can see the current list of 201 champions here:

2014 IBM Champions for Information Management
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/champions/

You can click on each name then click on the "About Me" tab to see some of the accomplishments that made that person a Champion for Information Management. For example, "At last count he plays over forty musical instruments with a reasonable level of skill." :-)
