Optimum NAS settings for Information Server use

Post by PaulVL »

It's a long shot, but here goes...

I'm in a shop that is looking to tweek settings to optimize their interaction with NAS for Information Server.

I'm not the storage/network guy. I'm one of the DataStage admins.

Most likely most of you who are using NAS have gone down this road...

Does anyone have information on optimizing NAS settings to better suit a DataStage environment?

From one of the storage folks, there are 200+ settings to tweek.

What are some low hanging fruit settings that you guys have optimized?

Write Block Size being one of the buzz words being thrown around.

Thanks in advance.

(Yes we've reached out to IBM and we are awaiting their answer, but you guys walk the walk. I'd rather have real world answers to validate in this shop.)
