unix crontab issue

hi ,
using vi editor i did changes to the crontab using the command: crontab -e and saved the changes using the cmd: wq, i am using the bash unix shell
after saving,i am getting msg "/tmp/crontabb7aO_E" 36 lines, 8737 characters"
but when i checked the same crontab after 2 days, i am not seeing the changes...any idea...
