can anybady help me on this issue? I want to install the fix pack on a windows 7 of 64 bit , but is returning me a error...

(1) 8.1.FixPack.1

(2) I have 8.0 version

Information Server version 8.0 is not supported across Windows 7.

and the 8.1? Actually I have this one and not 8.0.

But I'm not able to install fix pack... is allways gave me a error that I write before...

Important Note:

Windows 7 in infosphere server 8.1 version is supported on the client tier only and not on the domain/engine tier(s).

Are you trying to apply fix pack on domain/engine tier?

No, I'm trying to install on Client.

Make sure that you meet all the pre-requisites before installing fix pack on the client tier.

eg dot net framework etc...The URL that I have shared earlier has all the information on pre-requisites.Also make sure to use the latest update istaller.That means you need to update the update installer first and then apply fix pack on your client machine.

Does this problem occur on all client machines or only specific one.If it is happening on 1 machine, try to apply the fix pack on another client machine and then see if you get the error over there also or what...

You still have not answered the question about what version of the Update Installer you are trying to use.

occur on all machines, we can't install the fix patch in our machines (client)...

Assuming that you have installed the infosphere clients in C:\IBM\InformationServer\ folder on your client machines, open MS DOS elevated window and change directory to C:\IBM\InformationServer\Updates\bin and then execute the below command and let us know its output.


installUpdates.exe -version
