Is there a Beta version of 8.5 available for download and try in PC for free?

Beta program is finished. The 8.5 version became generally available (for purchase) two weeks or so ago.

Regardless, there is no "try it for free" concept, beta or not.

Well you could use the Datastage 8.1 version on the Amazon EC2 cloud for minimal cost:

I'm sure at some point IBM will make Datastage 8.5 available on the Amazon EC2 cloud.

How does this works ?. If one takes client, they give server connection too OR one need to take both server and client connections ?.
