IBM Information server client install replace ODBC drivers.

Post by RaviReena »

I installed IBM Information server client on a desktop and it replaces current ODBC drivers with IBM data direct drivers.

Any idea how to save the ODBC drivers on the desktop after the install?

The ODBC drivers are on your UNIX server, not on the client machine.

There are also ODBC drivers installed with the client now. Can anyone tell why?

Yes there does appear to be IBM ODBC drivers (8.5).

However they appear to be in addition to the existing ODBC drivers

They're on the client because the Information Analyzer and QualityStage Match Designer use them from the client.
