Hi All ,
I am new to Data stage . I loaded the DS 7.5 client and server on windows 2000 server .The installtion was fine .
In adminstrator I entered the host name as : my computer name , then I was responded with the error message on date .
Could some one please assist and advise.

My blind shot in the dark (since there isn't more information to work with) is that you do not have the System DSN set up correctly. Give us some more info including the text of the error message(s) so we can provide more assistance.

In Control Panel (DataStage applet) please check that all services are running.
Open a cmd (DOS) shell and issue the following commands (replacing the pathname of the DataStage engine folder with the pathname that is correct for your system):
Post the result.
If those commands were successful then execute the following command and post its result.

Code: Select all
CD C:\Ascential\DataStage\Engine
date /T
bin\uv -admin -version
If those commands were successful then execute the following command and post its result.
Code: Select all
bin\uv -admin -info
