NLS related error while connecting

Post by sendtothil »

Hi,
I am trying to login to datastage server.
The server has got Korean NLS.
But its giving the error following error:
"Failed to connect to host: <ip address>, project: UV
Invalid Universe marrk characters have been sent from the server. Code
page 949 may not support these characters, or you may need to install DataStage NLS.
"
Can anyone help?

Regards,
Senthil.

Pls post it in the corresponding forum. Have you tried Install NLS from your CD? But I dont recall that there is a setting of NLS in Client installaion
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

It is possible that your server has not installed the map for Korean characters to communicate with the client software. This may be MS949, or MS949-EXTRA if you need the 1992 extensions. Consult the DataStage NLS manual for how to get maps installed/loaded.

If you can connect your Administrator client (which connects to the server not to a project) you can also set up from the NLS controls there.
