What is Rss & Invocation id?

Hi all,

can some one give me an idea of Invocation id and pleae tell me what is RSS?I wanted to know where i can find the Invocation Id of a particular job.One thing i found is when i created the job using Multiple Instance and when i am ruuning the job it was asking me for the Invocation id and Also can some one please give me an idea regarding the Batch job why we will use that?????

Search on these topic will result large number of posts. A unique id that need required to run the multiple instance job parallel. Say for example if you pass INV1 as invocation id to a job JOB1, you can find a seperate entry for a JOB1.INV1 in datastge director.
Using Batch jobs you can call the other individual jobs in sequence in the required order.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
