IBM Change Data Capture - Column Level Update Identifier

Hi, This question is more related to IBM CDC 6.5, hence posting it in general.

For CDC-Flat File Pattern, by Default we get the IUD(insert update delete) flag for every record.

Is there anyway in CDC we can track which column has got updated, in case of an update?

we have multiple subscribers for a single table who are looking for specific critical fields and our intention is to re use the subscription.

I Figured some time back that we can create additional columns and use %BEFORE function to get the pre-image and compare those in datastage.

thought of sharing this here before resolving.
