Hello,
We have DS 8.5 64-bit installed on 64-bit RHEL 6. Is it good practice to set 64BIT_FILES to 1 in uvconfig in this scenario? Would we gain anything in terms of performance? Would there be any overheads/cons if we enable 64BIT_FILES?
Thanks

No.
It's still more efficient for hashed files that don't need to contain 2GB of data to use 32-bit internal addressing, not least because the 32-bit pointers require less disk space. And there's three of those per record.
