What is Profile Stage

I'm New to Ascential Software. Can anyone help me out in knowing what is profile stage.

Thanks. Does profile stage comes with Data Stage or should that be bought as a seperate product.?

Like MetaStage, QualityStage, etc. It's a separate product. I don't know if it's included in DataStage Enterprise or not.

it is not included in DS enterprise. we have to get it separately.
