Hi,

In the "Information Center" documents under
Administering > Managing security > Security setup > Assigning user roles > Security role overview > IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer roles

Its mentioned as "You can assign suite component roles in the IBM InfoSphere Information Server console" but i couldn't find these roles anywhere
Information Analyzer Data Administrator, Information Analyzer Project Administrator

Can anyone please help me?

You need to open the twisty "Suite Component Roles".

Hi,

Log into the Web Browser based Administration Console, select 'Administration', then 'Users and Groups.

For example, http://<your-server>:<your-port>/ibm/iis/console/

The default <your-port> is 9080

I was confused, because in the reference manual ( provided in the link),
Its mentioned as it is available in the "IBM InfoSphere Information Server console" not in web console.

so it is in the web console not in the server console, isn't it?

It is the WEB CONSOLE.

You may choose to report the documentation error to IBM that they may fix it.

The doco is also correct. And so is Ray. You can access user configuration from both places.

Log into ISC, click on the blue ball and find Configuration -> Users.

Open a user and in the middle of the screen you'll find an area called "Roles" with 2 sets of check boxes. The top one with 5 option is for the Suite roles and the 2nd one with 20-odd is for Suite Component Roles.

ok.. as of now i don't have access to IA, i will check it
