PSDB

Hi,

We have installed profile stage in a server A (for an example). and we are planning to install only the profile stage client, analysis server ,message switch in a server called B and make use of the Server A psdb .is this possible to do that?

if possible please tell me if any thing has to be changed in the PSDB of server A?

If not possible please tell me the reasons ?

This is entirely possible, and is even documented in the manuals. Check the numerous examples in the "Configuration Examples" section of your PS Installation manual. Take a look at the ones ending "... Central PSDB".

NOTE: Multiple Analysis Servers makes sense, but you only require a single message switch for your configuration to work - Read the docs.

Each client will require an ODBC DSN pointing to your shared PSDB. Remember to use the DataDirect ODBC drivers. The configuration of this is covered very comprehensively in the section "Installing Drivers and Configuring Connections".
