IBM to purchase Sterling

I just heard about this. I was wondering if anyone had info on had they will integrate the products. I've been trying to get experience with GIS (sterling integration tool) to have a more rounded resume, but never found a job willing to train. Now it looks like I may not have to, but if the plan is to move away from WTX and use GIS for mapping, anyone with WTX experience may be effected.
