Create Output file that has the Same name as Input file

Formally known as "Mercator Inside Integrator 6.7", DataStage TX enables high-volume, complex transactions without the need for additional coding.

Create Output file that has the Same name as Input file

Post by MercatorGuy »

I have files that gets processed daily and each day several files come in , but when my output is built I'd like for the output file to have the same name as the ever changing input file. I'm familiar with using functions such as GETFILE name but that doesnt seem to apply here.

Any suggestiong about the best way to go about this

Just want to double-check - Is this a TX job (from your forum of choice) or a Server job (as marked)?

Edited to add: Job Type changed to TX.

At the Source Stage We are using the Oracle concurrent Manager to manage the process and I believe that when its runs the process it Overrides the card details in the MAP COMMANDusing detail from another process.

No problem, just couldn't tell from your post and sometimes people get lost. Now if you'd used the words 'card' or 'map'...
