Hello - We are currently on DataStage 5.1 and we have a lot of jobs that
read from Unidata 5.2 where we use Object Call. There is a plan in the
works to upgrade Unidata to 6.0. It seems to me that I read somewhere that
Object Call will not work with Unidata 6.0. Can someone clarify this with
me please? The next question would be - what steps would we need to take in
order to make DataStage work with Unidata 6.0? ... or what version of
DataStage supports Unidata 6.0?

Unidata 6.0
Joel, we have been testing DataStage with UniData 6.0. ObjectCall is no
longer supported by IBM so we are at the graces of if it works great, if it
doesn't too bad. UniData's 6.0 ObjectCall was core dumping and would not
work. However, release 6.0.8 seems to be stable with ObjectCall on AIX and
works. Also, Ascential on DS 7.0 has a new plug-in for UniData 6.0
databases that utilizes UCI instead of ObjectCall. We have been testing
this plug and have been able to read tables in UniData, however there are
issues with performance and being able to read tables with many associations
(or multi-valued columns)
