Does DataStage work with MS Access? I did not see any ODBC drivers in
..odbc.ini for MS Access.
We are running DS 6.0 on Solaris box.
Thank you,

Microsoft does not supply ODBC drivers for their products. You may be
able to find them from a third party. There are a lot of ways to get the
data into Access through links or importing sequential files.
Thanks Kim.

Leonid,
MS Access is a client only database, it provides no support for remote (via
a network) clients to connect other than via shared drive or folder
mapping.
If you have a SQL Server instance you can linked MS Access db's and expose
them like a virtual DB in SQL Server. Having done this, you can then use
the
SQL Server ODBC driver supplied with DataStage to get at this data. We have
a local customer doing it this way successfully.
Alternatively there are many ODBC bridges or gateway solutions in the
market
place which proved a Server like middleware layer which allow you to expose
MS Access databases to remote clients.
Good luck
Stewart
