AuditStage error: Error upgrading Domain Table

When first connecting to a database there is a message box that says "Please standby while AuditStage upgrades the Domain Table found in the data source." This is followed by this error message two times: "Error upgrading Domain Table:".

The does source does have a QA_MD_DOMAIN table. Any idea at what upgrade AuditStage tries to do at the beginning and what the impact of this failure might be?
