We are using OPTIM tool insisted of Data stage

My question is :

In data stage we are extract the files right like that I want to extract the data from Hash file is it possible ?

As I know Hash file is used for reference only. but how we can extract the data from Has file in datastage ?

Can I use source Hash file like below

First of all I would not regards Optim as a substitute or replacement for DataStage. The tools have tasks that do not overlap (though both may be included in a solution that, for example, requires ETL on masked data).

Hashed files can really only be read by DataStage server jobs or by queries executed in the DataStage shell (dssh).

Server jobs do not have a Copy stage. So the design might be:

Code: Select all

Hashed File stage -----> Transformer stage -----> target
(The Transformer stage acts as a "driver" for the passive stages, allowing row counts to be captured.)

There's no Copy stage in Server jobs, other than that - correct.
