Function 'get_next_output_row' failed - Error in datastage

Does anyone have an idea about the following error. I am getting this error when I run a server job that has a merge stage in it. Can anybody throw some light on it and how to resolve this error???

Function 'get_next_output_row' failed. [Input file : TMAJORCLASSSPLITRULE.TXT] End of row termination characters expected.

Does the error occur in the merge stage? What are the stage settings you've used?

Does your file lack a line terminator on the last line?
