DS Freezing up on PIII/850 LAPTOP C600

Every time I try to select one of the items from the drop down list in the derivation field of a transformation stage my session locks up. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Client: PIII/850 LAPTOP C600
Client Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional SP2
Datastage client: 5.2
Datastage server: Unix AIX 4.3.3

Have you tried playing the uninstall-and-reinstall-the-client game yet? Were you ever able to do the selection and this a change in behaviour or you've never been able to do it on this laptop?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do an uninstall/re-install. That's always painful.

I'm a new user to DataStage and had not been able to do that action yet.
