Hi,

I would like to propose the addition of a STATUS to the forum topics, that could be updated by the creator of the topic. Now you sometimes see that someone initiates a topic, gets some proposed solutions to it, but never answers if these solutions have been of any help. An explicit status like SOLVED could indicate that topic has been successfully closed. (Other statuses might be OPEN, CLOSED WITHOUT SOLUTION, ...). This could also be an extra SEARCH argument in the search screen.

As a fall-back, every contributor should at least have the courtesy to comment as a final remark if his question has been solved or not.

You can (mostly) do this via the Subject line when you reply and say that all is well with your problem.
