You are right, Mr. Ray.

:-) I am called an expert now and hence I could come to Swiss.

Learning DS and gaining experience - Long and old story it is, while we learnt.

In fact, many of your documents helped us to know more about the tool and its internals. We used to call it as "Technical anatomy by dissecting a software tool".

(I remember the toolbox carried while going to Biology lab for dissecting animals to learn their anatomy).

Mine is option #5.
Thrown into a project with no training and no assistance except DSXchange
But it is interesting to know the unknown things...

Sometime I know the logic, but i don't know which function, routine etc., will suit for that logic.

Sometime I feel hard when i need to dig the 'KBA' or 'UserDefined' routines. As i don't have knowledge on BASIC SUBROUTINE, i feel like that. I just took the print out of DataStage Basic guide to read about the commands.

I never worked on 'Sequence' job, so still i feel hard on that part. whenever people advice me to use 'sequence' or they use the word 'Job Activity', i feel very hard to understand..i have to come out from that circle very soon...

Sometime i may ask some basic questions here which will make people (not all the people)get frusturation on me... or i think because of my poor writing skill, they may get frusturation on me...

Totaly i am learning datastage step by step with the help of DSXCHANGE (with some up's and down's)
