Does the new member sign-up process include information about, and the ability to sign up for, premium membership?

A question on top of a question --
I am already a Charter member, by signing up to premium membership will I be a premium poster?

Premium Posters are your sponsors of this forum, either as employees, partners, collaborators, or such for the illustrious Editor Mr. James. We have this exalted position because of our business or personal relationships and our commitment to this forum and product. Rising to the level of Premium Poster is something that Dennis James would need to discuss with you, because there's more to it that just an icon.

Premium poster was given based on the quality and quantity and the time spent toward this forum. You can be a Premium poster, but bit late. Let the topers take rest.

Yea true. I was just confused with the word "Premium". So Premium member and Premium Poster are two different things.

Having a Premium membership will not make one a Premium poster. This was the point I was trying to get clarification on and IMHO as it might cause further confusion to new people trying to sign-up, it would be better to re-phrase the terminology.

Its an honour for non-premium posters to have such a dedicated circle working towards this forum.

Premium Membership means you get full access to all features on this site, which includes posts marked as Premium. The only folks who can make a "Premium" content post is a Premium Poster. So, 6 out of 12xxx posters have this ability to mark their posts "Premium".

The latest Newsletter talks about some of the new features coming that the Premium members will or do have access to - above and beyond the premium posts.
