Ernie, Correct me if I am wrong. The OP has the element <elemProcessed> repeating within the parent structure "/fileRply/Rply/". Again <keyItem> (singular) is repeating under <keyItems> <keyItems> <keyItem> .... .... <keyItem> <keyItems> But the XPath from OP does not seem to take that int...

Hi ArndW, Thanks for the followup. I had submitted this to IBM and this is what they came up with... this is a known issue but response from development has been that this is a debug tool and if you require you own date values to be entered then you will need to do this outside of the row generator....

Hi lstsaur,
Thanks for the followup.
I don't think PBSPro is on this server. However, I recall from an earlier chat with the Admin folks that Ganglia is installed and setup on this box. Do you think that might be of help, if we run into this issue again?

Thanks,

Hi Ray & lstsaur, Thanks for your invaluable time and input. This had a premature ending today. The admin folks restarted the DS Server last night (this is a new Dev server and not much impact) which "solved" the issue. I am not sure if we might have lost an opportunity to find some is...

Troubleshooting unresponsive server

Our datastage server has stopped responding to client connections. When i attempt to connect to the server it hangs on the login screen forever and ever..... This is a GRID server that is fairly new (just development projects/jobs). I can telnet/ssh to the head node and other nodes in the grid. I ca...

Thanks for the followup Ray. I did adjust the values for the "Skip" and "Period" and verified the outcome. Thanks for the insight and it makes sense. Also, our server being in NLS mode, i see from the logged schema that the fileNameColumn is generated as ustring. I enhanced my jo...

As craig opined, it is not possible to have the Stored Procedure Stage on a job canvas by itself. For now, I will leave the Row Generator linked to the STP. As for the matching column name, the Row Generator or some sort of input link needs to supply the column name that can be mapped to the Stored ...

Craig, Thanks for the followup and your time. Is there any overhead in using the Row Generator to route the param values to the job or should i look into using transformer for such purposes? lstsaur, Thanks for your time. I am afraid i am not following your feedback point(s) especially line 1 of you...

Ray, Thanks for the input. I tried this job without RCP and had the same outcome. I then tried the NON-RCP design in a 7.5.2 box and could not get the file names either. So something is wrong in the way i have set the stage. The only changes i have done to the source seq file stage after dragging th...

Standalone Stored procedure stage execution

Hi, I have a need to execute a MS SQL 2005 stored procedure from a datastage PX job and pass 4 parameters to this stored procedure via job parameters. I created a new PX job and added one "Stored Procedure" Stage to it and set it up as "Transform" type. I was able to configure th...
