Need help with reading delimited text file
Hello, I have source text files (~ 50 of them) that are delimited by ||@@## I tried this approach and it didn't work. 1) Replaced ||@@## with Hex value 7 using sed 's/||@@##/\x7/g' source.txt > source.out 2) Put &H7 in Other Delimiter field in Import Metadata for sequential file. 3) Clicked on P...

Weird abend in Sequence
Hello, We have a 64-bit IIS 8.5 Server edition (FP1 installed along with JR38892, JR39116, JR39533 patches) on a RHEL 64-bit machine. We have been noticing weird abends in random Sequences - Sequence abends with "Job xxx did not finish OK, status = 'Aborted'". When I look at Job xxx's log ...

Fatal error: "Find all posts by ray.wurlod"
Hello,
I see the error below when I click on Find all posts by ray.wurlod
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 106 bytes) in /home/www/dsxchange/search.php on line 330
Am I the only one who sees this or does this need a fixing?
Thanks
Mav

Install FP1 on IIS 8.5
Hello, We installed IBM IIS 8.5 on RHEL 6 (64-bit) PRODUCTION box recently, imported jobs (~350) from DEV and in production mode for a week. Per oracle "In order to use the IBM Information Server version 8.5 in conjunction with EPM 9.1, the following patches are required . They MUST be applied ...

Enable 64BIT_FILES on RHEL 6 with DS 8.5 64-bit installed?
Hello,
We have DS 8.5 64-bit installed on 64-bit RHEL 6. Is it good practice to set 64BIT_FILES to 1 in uvconfig in this scenario? Would we gain anything in terms of performance? Would there be any overheads/cons if we enable 64BIT_FILES?
Thanks

Please help me understand ODBC non-wired connectivity
Hello,
I don't understand why ODBC non-wired connectivity is required when native DB API client already exists. Doesn't ODBC non-wired connect to DB via the installed native DB API client? In which scenario(s) would one prefer ODBC non-wired connectivity over native DB API client.
Thank you

I think I am successful in setting up LDAP for user authentication using SSL. The reason I say I think is I don't get any errors in WAS console however I'm not sure if the passwords are encrypted before being sent to LDAP. Are there logs in IS directory that I can look at and verify if SSL/encrypted...

Weblogic instead of WAS for Services Tier
Hello,
Can Weblogic be used, instead of WAS, for the Services Tier for DataStage 8.5?
Thanks in advance.
