Something like DS can be tricky in this respect. They could be a gun who's never worked with Teradata or Complex Flat Files, so they probably won't have answers to specific questions in those areas. That said, I would think that something like splitting out dupes shouldn't be a hard thing to do for ...

Unless the person who did the install is reading dsxchange, it would seem to be more logical to just ask them what values they actually used.
Considering it's 11.3, they can't have gone too far.

"No tech skills: I want a business user to be able to do it" Sounds like they want self-service reporting. This isn't a great fit for InfoSphere (a suite of dev tools, regardless of things like IA rules "wizards"), unless you can sell them on the idea of using it to create some s...

Do you have Flash installed on your client?
If it's like the Edit Assembly stage for the XML Stage, it will need Flash to work.

There used to be a voucher where if you failed the exam the first time, you could take it the 2nd time for "free". This voucher cost $30 more than normal.
That was a couple of years ago though, so I don't know if they still do it.

Do you find it mainly plays up when your InfoSphere server is getting worked hard? I've had the situation where with not all of the individual node rowcounts make it back in time for the DSGetLinkInfo() call, resulting in discrepancies. In our case, DataStage was set up for 8 nodes, the batch ran 8 ...

You can write some SQL to pick it out of XMETA, but XMETA is undocumented and subject to change (and it looks like there have been some changes in 11.3).

When it asks for the xmeta DB details, give it the name of a single node in the RAC. Your DBA can help you out there.

The steps for pointing it back to the RAC are in the guide.

Re: New Gartner Magic Quadrant for MDM released

Quite a gap between Collaborative and Advanced... 8-(
Interesting that they all tend to be judged like that, but IBM has the largest gap by far.

Lack of OCH is a surprise (maybe my ignorance at play here, too).

I added my own field into the DCT file. Then I wrote a subroutine to append a string to it. I called that subroutine as the first line of every pattern in the PAT file (unless it called a subroutine, in which case I had to manually append the pattern code). Can you show us the bit where you re-class...

Are New and York both classified as B? Could it be getting caught by another pattern (or default handling)you have that just pushes the + + O O to OrgName? It's not a 5-minute task, but I once went through AUNAME and AUADDR and put a DBG field in with a corresponding function that appended a code fo...
