$ErrMessage in body of email from notification stage

I have recently discovered the notification stage and would like to include the $ErrSource, $ErrNumber, and $ErrMessage in the body of my email. I find them availalble through the ellipses (...) on the email addresses and subject fields, but not the body. Is there a way to include these in the body ...

Forgive me for being somewhat new to Ascential, but, I have no idea what you are trying to tell me. I checked the job Properties screen but see nothing that refers to Osh. I have tried in the past to find the generated Osh but can find it nowhere. Is there a setting for the project or something that...

Ambiguous Error Messages

I'm having a good deal of difficulty finding meaningful information in the PX error messages. Most of the error messages I am getting at run time seem to give no information as to which field, row, or sometimes even which stage the error is pertaining. This is causing development and testing to take...

Unbalanced input from partition

Can someone please shed some light on the cause and resolution of the following warning messages: APT_ParallelSortMergeOperator(5),9: Unbalanced input from partition 0: 10000 records buffered APT_ParallelSortMergeOperator(5),9: (no further unbalance warnings will be issued for this partition) I get ...

ok, handling the NULLs is obviously the right solution. I didn't realize that the values coming out of the aggregator were nullable even though I specified non-nullable. Now, I am attempting to use the modify stage for the first time. I've read the help and am still a little confused.... I decided t...

Possible 7.5 GUI BUG

I think I may have encountered what may be a bug in the GUI of DSEE 7.5. It seems that when a link is dettached on the right (not connected to a stage), DS uses 95-98% CPU until that link is re-attached to a stage. It is very difficutl to re-attach the link because with DS using that much CPU, it le...

Converting nullable source to non-nullable result

I am receiving the following warning/error for each field in the stream even though I have specified the fields as non-nullable on both the input and output in this aggregator stage as well as all the other stages: AggregateToFinPeriod: When checking operator: When binding output interface field &qu...

Error Resolved

It turns out this was due to not entering a value in the parameters that is used as the DB2 schema name. In my DB2 stage I specified as the table name #schema#.DSS_SALES but had not defined SCHEMA in my parameter list. Why that returned this particular error message is still a mystery, but the probl...

Re: Doubt in Join Stage

I can't think of any way you would get more rows than the total number of rows coming in. Even using a full outer join would not "create" additional rows.

If that is the case (and I will look, I'm not in the office yet) where would these datasets have come from? One thought was that the .v files were created to suport the links between the stages. If so, do I as a developer have any control over how these datasets are named. If these datasets are not ...
