Re: On Array Size!!
I always put array size to 1. We've got bitten once that when a error occurred in a job using array size > 1 all rows in the same "array" got the same treatment and not only the row causing it (in our case all were rolled back). This behaviour changed between Datastage versions, so we just...

From personal experience, the DB2 load stage is much slower then if you would write your own UNIX load statement via a shell script. So although the stage is nicer to use, we use shellscripts to load data for the raw speed. Also if the DB2 database you want to load to is on a different server than t...

Re: Update a column using OCI stage
The original solution works for as long as you don't exhaust transaction log space (because it's a single transaction), this depends on the database settings and width of a single row. Usually this works for upto +- 400.000 rows, not for millions. Solution is to have actual input on the left hand si...

Re: Dynamic Target File Names
If you would replace your sequence job with a true BASIC job you can do what you want (but it's a little bit more work). With sequences, not that I aware of.

Re: It should work on both ways (AIX help)
I would first make sure the script works outside of DataStage running under the user that would execute the DataStage job. If you can get it to work like that the problem you're having with DataStage is an "integration" problem. So can you already make it work outside of DataStage? If it d...

Re: Jobs aborted in the middle of dataloading into warehouse
Hi frens, I do have the 10,000 rows of data and the job get aborted while loading into warehouse after loading 5000 rows. How to hadle this situation to load it from 5001 record... There's nothing automatic in DataStage for that. You have to make your own restarting. Some options: - put the load in...

Re: using db2 plugin in windows
On the machine where the DataStage server is installed you will need to install a DB2 client. Configure the DB2 client and configure DataStage to use the DB2 local instance.
