If you can't find that actual option (not all stages have it) then use the {FILE} methodology noted here and elsewhere.

How is on the DataStage server a "remote" location? If it is local to the DataStage server in any fashion, you can easily leverage it by using the SQL File option in the stage.

Other than the fact that they (eventually) will be the only supported stages? There's plenty of information out there for the googling about the new Common Connector stages, the technology behind them and the advantages they bring. If you're not willing to trawl IBM's official site, you can find art...

The new Connector stages replace all of the existing equivalent stages, which have been "deprecated". IBM encourages you to switch entirely over to them.

We used it back in the day at one of my clients. They had support folks across the country using CITRIX to access our local server plus an "off-shore" contingent.

Actually, it has three files (one is hidden) and you also need to check the permissions of that directory itself. As noted.

Out of curiousity, just how large are these files? Any idea how many objects they contain to be imported? And just how long is this 'huge amount of time' are we talking about to import them?

This should only be a one time process so wondering if there is really an issue or not...

When you reset the Aborted job, is a "From previous run..." entry added to the job's log? If so, please post the contents.

What I have heard (but have not confirmed) is that they are compressed form of dsx files.

Keep going deeper, RT_CONFIG1627 is a directory under your project, check the permissions of it and its contents.
