First off, try to verify the contents of the field. 'Null' and 'Empty' are two different things, the latter might be some number of spaces. Check.

Another choice is to define the structure completely in metadata, and apply the Drop On Import property to all fields that you don't require to be read. Interesting. Wouldn't that technically be "that you don't require to be output" rather than "read" as all columns must actuall...

Then, as noted in the docs, you'll have to specifiy how it is sorted "so that the Transformer stage can detect that it is sorted". And as noted that would be via a Sort stage set to "Don't Sort".

To me that implies those missing dates are not null. As noted, you may need to be more complete in your 'empty' date handling.

That sounds like a custom routine - can you locate it in the repository through the Manager? Then a double-click on it will show the source code.
