Welcome. You've started off by posting in an inappropriate forum, this is for Testimonials not requests for any kind of help. That should have gone in the General forum. When you repost your question there, be more specific in your needs. If you are looking for someone to hand you some course materi...

Of course, but this isn't CorrelatedSubqueryXchange.com.

No-one can tell you how long it will take. Run it and then let us know. Either way, job or SQL.

How many distinct dealer values are there? Seems like you could build a hashed file with the 'dealer' as the key and the max dim as the data element with a 'select max' style query. Then send each distinct dealer value down a job that uses that hashed file and pick up the max for that key. Send it t...

I don't know how anyone can make a blanket statement about 200MBs being a limit for DataStage, there's way too many variables involved. I've succesfully processed files nearly twice that on my system. Plus, whenever I've had 'size' problems they aren't nearly so nice - the job just falls over dead. ...

I would agree, I don't really see the "XML-ness" of the task being the driving force behind the choice of job platform.

It should also have told you the job number. In your Projects directory, under the specific project your job lives in, you'll find several directories with that number at the end of their name.

Look inside the RT_BPnnnn directory for that file, where nnnn = your job number.

From what I recall, you can switch from doing a name match to a positional match. Which means if your output columns are all in the same order as the inputs that would work for you as well. At that point, you might as well just do a 'Select All' on one side and drag them all over at once to the othe...

You also need to investigate the use of the LIST.READU function, which is also available from the command like as 'list_readu' in the bin directory.

:? Haven't we already had this conversation? A 32bit application can connect to a 64bit database using the 32bit libraries the database provides. Simple. No routine or other shenanigans 'needed'.

You need to find out what the characters are, obviously they're not spaces. Dump to a flat file and then use a hex editor to examine the file.
