How do you set what? Isolation Level has nothing to do with restarting after a failure, I'm guessing you are thinking of Transaction Size? As Arnd notes, the behaviour of your job on failure and what actions are required during restart are all under your control and is dependant on your job design....

Ok, let me be the first to ask - what database supports 'large dates' like that and why in the world would you want to use them?
Suggest you leave that bit off.
