Have you double-checked your production config file? You should not have "changed" your sole production config file to two nodes (if that's what you actually did) you should have set up a new two node config and pointed your job to that one rather than letting it default. Actually, you sho...

Couple of suggestions: 1. Involve your official support provider and see if it is a known issue with your versions / drivers / target. 2. Google for "ODBC communication link failure". You'll find tons of other people getting that message from ODBC for SQL Server, the plethora of reasons th...

Perhaps you should post it and let others who know Teradata and multiload take a look and see if it looks fine or not? Unfortunately, that's not me, I am just trying to help you with your problem solving. You also have another issue that you should resolve as well. I don't believe that is related to...

You mean other than what people have already posted? :? Think about what it is you need to accomplish, you should be able to solve this. You can either build a list of everything you want to delete and then do so (one of the solutions posted) or build a list of everything you want to keep and then d...

Help us out here - is this your first attempt at a multiload target, i.e. you've never tried to make it work before? Or you've done this thousands of times already and is it just this one that you are having a problem with? Did you check the "MultiLoad Report" as it noted you should do?

Thanks. Problem I'm finding is that working for the Gov't on a GI laptop means the only software that can be installed is something from their 'approved list'. And it's not a long list. And my pc is locked down so tight, not only can I not install any software on my own, I can't plug in a flashdrive...

You will need to be a little more explicit in your requirements. Some will suggest using the Print To File option from the Director otherwise. Level of detail, frequency, timing, scripting versus routine, etc etc will all play into this, something that has been discussed ad naseam here. Meani...

No, they stated "one input stage" not one input into the Join, which (as noted) is not possible. And that solution has been posted. More than once.

I've got no clue, but you might want to run this by a Windows Admin, someone familiar with the Windows scheduler. Something is different about the environment between those two runs, command line versus 'at' scheduler, perhaps they could help you figure out what the secret it.

Talk to your DBA, the exact nature of the data and the type of "multiple loads" will play into causing this problem.

I don't understand why people don't realize that these kind of "minimum configuration" type questions are usually impossible to answer. There's never enough details, there are way too many variables and one man's minimum is another man's molasses. :?
