If you are asking if your server will support the Oracle connector, why not try it and see? Or ask your official support provider, unless they're the ones who already told you that you couldn't. :?

I, for example, have no clue and no direct access to do any investigation on my own. Why run open a case with your official support provider and ask them?

Check your dsenv file in $DSHOME, that should be where your LD_LIBRARY_PATH is being set and where you would need to add the directory you noted for the missing ".sl" file.
