The linked post seemed to say while the tutorials did indeed come with the product in the past, that no longer seems to be the case. Hopefully someone current on the product could confirm or deny. Or as Ray noted they may be available through 'normal' channels.

Did you try doing an exact search here for those two words? Usually when it is mentioned it is explained as well.

Once again, my question seems to have gone unanswered. However... are you unsure what to point the tool at? As you noted, it wants the name of the descriptor file, the filename that ends with .ds that you used in the DataSet stage. If you give it that, it will show you the actual data files themselv...

I'm curious how that solves your problem when your max data length is four times the size of the CAST output? You don't care if it gets truncated? :?

Does this problem only affect you / your PC? If so, you may want to try an uninstall/reinstall of the client. Does it happen when you perform any particular action when you are editing a Sequence?

In other words it's doing exactly what it should do when you enable checkpoints - on a restart, skip all successful steps and restart from the failure point. If you want it to restart from the beginning yes, you need to Reset the Sequence. If you have actions that should always run regardless of the...

I personally have no idea and probably like the majority of people here have only (in the past) used it to import metadata. Do you not have any kind of support for your installation? Could you not ask them?

I would think it should work but you'll need to try it to see what issues, if any, you face. Stick with using your 9i Oracle client with the OCI9 stage to connect to the 11g instance.

One would typically read the documention that ships with the product for information of that nature. Or you can find other sources from people in the blog-o-sphere like our Vincent for example.

Your wish is fulfilled, you're not clear. Let's try again. :? What happens when you try to view the dataset using the Dataset Management tool? Do you get an error? If so, which one? Something else happens? Simply saying "it doesn't work" doesn't give anyone enough information to help you.

No specific stage then or now, as far as I know. You would use the ODBC stage for MySQL.
