Yes. As noted, if you upgrade an existing install (an 'upgrade in place') it happens automatically. The key word here? Automatic.

It's an automatic process either during the upgrade itself or when you import an 'older' job into a 'newer' project.

Once a job has completed, the associated phantom entries it created are technically no longer needed. In my experience, most people schedule something in cron to prune them on a daily basis, deleting any that are more than X days old where X may be 3 or 7 or whatever number makes sense to them.

You can find a class online. Some you may be able to take online as well, I believe.

Please post an example of what your desired output would be for the input you posted. Seems to me that would help explain whatever "inter-patching" means.

Now that that is out of the way, as noted there really isn't a way to reliably convert Server jobs to Parallel jobs. I believe that IBM Consulting may have some tools they've built over the years that could do some of the work but that's only for when you pay them to come in and convert them for you...

After you successfully run the REINDEX everything will be fine, no need to bouce things again.

Once you successfully re-run the index rebuild, everything should be back to normal... that's how you'll know it worked.
