Welcome aboard. :D
It seems this question is "flavor of the month".
But none of the experts would assay such an approach. There's a perfectly good GUI tool for effecting modifications; it's called DataStage Designer.

I am not certain that you need to use the RTI components for DataStage TX, which is what you appear to be doing. If I understand correctly, the RTI components allow you to expose server or parallel jobs as services, thereby implementing a service-oriented architecture. May I suggest posting the same...

Also read the documentation for the DateGeneric... functions in the SDK. The SDK "generic" timestamp lacks delimiters in the date portion - it would not be accepted directly for ODBC. ODBC standards differentiate between date, time and timestamp; if you are loading a timestamp it must have compilant...

It's a strange artifact with Windows XP; even though you're using loopback (127.0.0.1), the operating system still requires that the network card be active for TCP activities to succeed. All you have to do is be connected in a network that can serve an address - even though you're not using it! (All...

My bad. External_Filter_113 was the name of your External Filter stage. (Do you really have than many stages in a job?!!) Exit status 255 is fairly meaningless. Please describe precisely how you set up the External Filter stage - what you mean by "a sequential file" doesn't make much sense. The outp...

Technically, of course, every UNIX signal can be generated by a kill command. In this case a process has - as you noted - been forcefully terminated with a SIGKILL signal (kill -9). Yes, the Lookup stage does use scratch space if it needs to. The Lookup stage in normal mode is (generates) a composit...

The only way you can get that is by attempting the exam itself. You can attempt the exam not more than twice in a month and not more than three times in 90 days. You are not permitted to take notes (other than mental notes) during the exam. There is no guarantee that you will get the same questions ...
